Membership is FREE
Bays of Harris Community Estate is a volunteer-led non profit body dedicated to designing and delivering projects which have a positive economic, environmental or social benefit within the community. We rely on a committed membership base made up of the local community and local businesses. We want Bays of Harris Community Estate to be fully representative of our community, a place where the community’s voice can be heard so we are keen for as many people in the community to join us and be members of the company.
If you are passionate about driving positive change in your community, join as a member to support the organisation.
There are three levels of membership:
- Ordinary Membership (with voting rights) – you live within the community, are 16 or over and support the aims of the Bays of Harris Community Estate, as described in the Articles of Association. You will have the right to vote at General meetings including the Annual General Meeting, to receive the Minutes and other communication produced by Directors, to view the company’s accounts and to call a General meeting if you wish. Ordinary Members are also eligible for election to the Trust’s Board of Directors. If you’re interested in becoming a director, see Join the Board.
- Associate Membership (non-voting) – you are 16 or over and support the aims of the Bays of Harris Community Estate but do not live in the community.
- Junior Membership – Aged between 12 and 15 years (whether or not they are ordinarily resident in the community) who support the activities and aims of Bays of Harris Community Estate.
